Aim of Study

The aim of the study is usually to describe the main fluvial depositional features and landforms observed along the midsection and reduce stages of the Spanish Water in, Portland, Jamaica by three locations (Skibo, Chepstowe, and Spring Garden) Info Presentation:

Data will be presented employing tables, charts, photographs, and field sketches.

Location of the Examine Area:

The analysis was completed in Discovery bay, jamaica at the The spanish language River by three (3) locations, Springtime Garden, Skibo, and Chepstowe.

Method of Data Collection

Field job was gathered on May twenty two, 2012 along the Spanish Lake at Planting season Garden (location 1), Skibo (location 2), and Chepstowe (location 3) in Portland, Jamaica. Info was collected using a few methods such as: the simple unique sampling approach, a mean velocity test, and a river depth & width test. The resources utilized to carry out the study are the following: maps, indicators & pad, ruler, drift (tennis ball), white panel, stopwatch, metre rule adhere, calculator, worksheet, standing markers (students), and tape measure. The mean velocity evaluation was performed in two locations (skibo & chepstowe), it was made by placing two students (standing markers) 15m apart along the river one at um m (starting point) and one in 15 meters (end point), while a 3rd student was using a stopwatch to time the activity of the drift (tennis ball) from o m to fifteen m. The process was repeated until an overall total of 6th readings had been attained and averaged to minimize error and increase accuracy. The thickness & interesting depth test was carried out in two locations (skibo & cheptowe), the procedure was performed by positioning two pupils in the normal water at possibly sides of the river one particular holding the finish of the strapping measure and the other possessing the tape where ever that stops by his end, another college student then assessed the interesting depth of the riv bed at every one (1) metre for the opposite end of the lake. This was carried out to the full thickness of the water The simple random sampling test out was carried out in all 3 locations. The researcher made from two types of sources primary source and secondary supply. Primary source include: remark, field paintings and photographs of the fluvial depositional landforms. Second sources consist of: Base map, (sheet amount 13, 150000), geography textbooks- Geography to get CSEC and Principles of geography intended for CXC, and internet sites in relation to the topic and library ebooks. Rock sediments were accumulated using the straightforward random-sampling approach. Each researcher (30 persons) was asked to take a few steps backwards and select rock yeast sediment, this method was used to reduce bias. The types & gradation of the rock sediments were determined and the widths and lengths were measured making use of the ruler. Almost all data had been then put in a stand. (30 sediments were collected)
